IT’s not ‘safe’ safe, but I’ve routinely gone 3d dry. Wet has almost no risk (except salt loss).
The point is you don’t want to dehydrate and actually die. Your mouth becomes uncomfortably dry and your skin goes corpsey and that’s how you know you’re dehydrated. I ‘think’ the theory is that this is when you would start REALLY losing weight.
But I’ve seen no convincing evidence from experience that you lose any more than wet fasting in total
11 days but I wouldn’t recommend.I’m not sure the health benefits balance the health risks past a certain point. I basically looked like a zombie and had to drink for 2 days before I looked “normal” again.
The kidneys apparently do not heal so well once they are damaged. And dry fasting puts a lot of pressure on your kidneys (you still pee after 11 days, and they have to make an extra-extra-effort of filtering).Damaging your kidneys may not be worth the risk.
In all cases, watch your body and keep track of physiological indicators like urine volume, heart rate & palpitation, etc.
