hii sorry if this is a dumb newie question, i didn’t really find any answers in the wiki. On an 16-8 plan (goal: losing weight), what am i supposed to eat during the 8 hour eating period? Just what i usually eat? Or some specific diet of my choice? Or is IF “the diet”? Obviously I shouldnt binge 5000 calories during that time when my goal is to lose weight but i was just wondering if losing weight with IF is supposed to work with no further special restrictions besides eating healthy etc. or if i should combine it with something else like low carb.
Generally, IF will naturally restrict calories but it doesn’t hurt to pay attention to what you are eating. One can overeat doing IF. IF is one way of eating, not really a “diet”.
What do you usually eat? Do you want to eat healthy? Do you eat too many carbs, now?
It’s really up to you and depends on your goals. You want to lose weight but do you also want to eat healthier? Cut out sugar? What will be sustainable as a lifestyle, for you?
