What do you guys do if you're fasting but have a heavy exercise workout that night?

For further info, I had an amazing experience with omad but I wasn’t exercising at the time, now I am. What if I need the energy for the night e.g. spinning

Answer

Energy is stored in your body as fat. If you need energy your body will burn it. Unless you’re seriously underweight it should not be a problem.

Get some electrolytes and you’ll be fine with or without the snack AND meal.

Best of luck

Answer

If your sole focus is weight loss, you just train, just don’t over-exhaust yourself, don’t push your limits because you’re relying on body fat reserves, which will quickly make u feel fatigued.

However, if you want to gain muscle/strength, break the fast and eat. Barely anyone hits a new PR with an empty stomach… if u wanna be a man-beast, you need to eat like one.

Answer

If you can choose your class times i try to time my weightlifting sessions for the days I eat and then on days I fast i’m currently doing 15k-20k steps(mostly walking)

You can always try the spin class fasted and see how it feels. If you need the energy either fast around your exercise days or change your exercise days to match up with your refeed windows.

Answer

The idea you have no energy because you haven’t eaten is in your head, then you end up having “no energy” because you believe you have no energy.

Fat is literally excess energy stored for times of need. If you have body fat, you have energy.
