If you don’t want to make it an argument, order a hot tea with lemon and tell them you’ve noticed you feel better when you settle your stomach after dinner. Then start suggesting you all three take a walk. They’ll be busy refusing to walk and you’ll be sipping tea.
There’s power in learning to say no. I just remind myself that no one should feel like they should be able to pressure me to put something inside my body. Eventually, it gets easy.
I always feel better about saying no thanks than regretting something I didn’t want to eat.
