Foods or herbs that force the body to produce Glucosamine
In humans, glucosamine-6-phosphate is synthesized from fructose 6-phosphate and glutamine by glutamine—fructose-6-phosphate transaminase as the first step of the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway. The end-product of this pathway is uridine diphosphate N-acetylglucosamine (UDP-GlcNAc), which is then used for making glycosaminoglycans, proteoglycans, and glycolipids.
Glucosamine is naturally produced by the body but as the body ages its ability to do so reduces. It is a common supplement but is not suitable for Diabetics (it’s a type of amino sugar) and people on certain medication. Dietary sources are bone marrow , shellfish/edible crustaceans and fungi. Hope this helps
