If you’re actually cooking real food, then you should be in full control of the sodium. Get away from packaged and boxed foods.

I love to do chicken or beef fajitas, tacos or quesadillas with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and a ton of peppers and onions. Packs a huge protein punch and is delicious.

Today was chicken salad with celery as the scooper. Snack is banana and supper will be a big spinach, kale, and red cabbage salad with carrots, cucumber, mushrooms, peppers, and i’m thinking either shrimp or canned sardines as my protein. If i’m still hungry after that i’ll probably have a couple little oranges and a palm full of nuts.

Edit: i went for the shrimp on the salad. I ate it at the end of my eating window and i’m full anyhow so no snacks tonight.

I put some chicken thighs in the air fryer and then added them to a bowl of salad. That was lunch and dinner.

I did a simple egg bake earlier this week (6 eggs, a few Tbsp of heavy cream, seasonings) in a buttered 8x8 pan, baked in a 350-degree oven for about 15-20Minutes. When it was cooked I sliced it into servings and stuck it in the fridge. I also cooked up an entire package of bacon and put that in the fridge. You could use it to make little sandwiches or burritos.

Are you restricting sodium for a medical reason?

I have been a little more liberal with the salt in order to make sure that my food tastes good. My blood pressure has gone down 10 points due to the weight loss, and other than occasionally being a little thirsty, I haven’t experienced other side effects.

My super filling and delicious dinner was 6 oz Trader Joe’s chicken shawarma, in a warm Trader Joe’s naan, with lettuce, onion, tomato, and a few tablespoons of nonfat plain Greek yogurt (thinned with water) which I seasoned with dill, garlic and salt. Just over 500 calories, which is what I allocate to dinner. Slightly over 35% of my sodium RDA. I often make the same meal with 4 oz Trader Joe’s kebab, similar macros.

Answer

1.5 Cracker with nut butter then slow cooker vegetarian chilli with plant based mince. Half a cup rice, Brocolli, topped with some light crème fraiche and a bit of cheddar. Also had a bit of dark chocolate.
