What If I Eat A Small Amount (<50 calories) Of Eggs and Potatoes During a 21 Day Water Fast?

Today is my 5th day of my 21 day water fast (108 hours), and I have only drank water and salt for the past 5 days. I just ate a tiny bit of eggs and potatoes that my girlfriend cooked for me. It was a very small amount. I know I have broken my fast, but my bigger questions is: will eggs and potatoes kick me out of ketosis?

UPDATE: I have reset my timer for the Zero app, changed the measurements and all, and calculated the macros.

MACROS FOR THE POTATOES AND EGGS: 42 calories, 1g of fat, 2g of protein, and 5g of carbohydrates.

WEIGHT LOST: 23.4 Lbs!

I have logged all of this information into my fasting app. It states that I am still in ketosis, but it is not deep.

Answer

i have been fasting with a libre cgm, and what i have found is that, if i eat “something” small, with small <20 g carb, i see my bg dances for about 24 hrs and then goes flat. ketones stay up

if carbs are in the 50 range, i see blood ketones drop off for about 24 hours as well

Answer

Potatoes kicked you out but you can get back on track fastly depending on the quantity you ate . However I don’t know about the other properties of fasting like growth hormone and autophagy

Next time you could buy some ketosticks to follow your ketosis
