What is the amino acid composition of human skeletal tissue?

Hey everyone,

Working on an EAA project and I’m looking for data on the amino acid profile/ composition (EAAs and NEAAs) of human skeletal tissue. I can find data on crocodiles, pigs and mice but nothing on ol’ homo sapiens.

Does anyone have a data source I can follow up on, looking for data as a percentage that takes into account all 20 amino acids..

Thanks in advance

Rob

Answer

If you can find the proportion of each protein in bone then you can work from there.

Probably better to ask this in a physiology or anatomy sub. I actually have a physiology degree and I’ve never even thought to ask that question, but hopefully someone will know.
