What is the minimum calorie goal I should strive for on a nonfasting day?

I’m a 67-year-old male weighing 210 pounds, 5 feet, 10 inches in height, with a pretty sedentary lifestyle.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Answer

21.5-25.0 BMI is 150lbs-174 lbs for you. I’d say 1500-1740 calories. Dr. Fung emphasized that the difference in the calorie intake is important as well. If you move from fasting to too much of a calorie restricted diet, I don’t believe that is recommended. However, since the definition of fasting is so loose, a lot is trial and error.
