What kind of diet do you guys follow alongside your specific fasts?

Fasting is unique because even though everyone follows the same timed eating strategy, the way we all eat may vary wildly depending on our tastes or goals or personal eating limitations.

I was curious as to what kinds of diets the lot of you follow and what made you decided on your specific food choices?

Ex.

My diet is pretty much a high protein/low carb regimen. I eat a lot of eggs and lean meat and the only carbs I allow myself are cooked vegetables, very limited grains and fruit.

I was just curious what the rest of you do and follow?

Answer

I became a vegetarian almost 2 years ago, I mainly eat rice-veggies bowls. I saute 2-3 veggies and dump them on top of the rice, followed by some type of legumes. (Sometimes I’ll have tofu protein of some sort).

Answer

Zero carb except low starch vegetables, healthy meats fish & fats. I had fatty liver, pre diabetes, insulin resistance, fibrosis, metabolic syndrome. This was my only chance to reverse it. Also added Red Light 633 nm, UVB tanning, weight training, walking, supplements, Metformin & compounded peptides. Key was reducing carbs to cut insulin levels, cut high glucose & stop the damage. “Science” as in real science, learns from mistakes. Metabolic disease including liver damage can regress with good choices.

Answer

Zero carb/animal based, after being keto for a couple months. Became convinced that meat is the actual superfood that kale wishes it could be lol.

It’s possible to love eating meat and detest factory farming. We now buy from a small local rancher almost literally across the street from us. Amazing and simple

Answer

Lots of protein, minimal carbs and healthy fats. Still eat treats if they fit in during eating windows. I track everything and try to stay under 1500 cal/day but don’t freak out about it. Some days I do, some days I dont.
