What non-citrus food has high vitamin C?

Bell peppers, strawberries, tomatoes, cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, etc) and white potatoes are all great sources of vitamin C. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin. This means that it dissolves in water and is delivered to the body’s tissues but is not well stored, so it must be taken daily through food or supplements.

Sauerkraut. Raw cabbage only has around 30mg/cup vitamin c, but fermented into sauerkraut can be up to 700mg/cup, 10 times more than the average orange!

Honestly, most fresh fruits and vegetables have vitamin C in them in some form. Vitamin C is a very easy vitamin to not be deficient in (unless you’re a sailor in the 1600s and don’t see port for longer than 6 months)

No idea what you have in mind. Strawberries have a lot of vitamin C and aren’t citrus. Keep in mind, usually foods have a little bit of everything. Typically foods that are more yellow in color are yellow due to the vitamin C, so hopefully that helps.

You can grow your own morninga. You can buy the seeds at Hispanic food stores where they sell seasonings. They will sprout. Cut the main stem at the desired plant height of you don’t want them growing past a certain height.

Goji berries (Lycium barbarum or Lycium chinense), Guava (Psidium guajava), Custard Apple (Annona squamosa), Australian bush apple (Djarduk, or Syzygium suborbiculare), Kakadu Plum (Terminalia ferdinandiana), also the Rosella (Roselle or Hibiscus sabdariffa) - though this one’s a bit difficult to get C in RDI quantity, it misleadingly tastes like it’s high in C!
