tomorrow will be my 7th day of fasting. i’ve done two 5 day fasts before and didn’t eat carefully afterwards, didn’t have any referring symptoms. i heard it’s all due to how many electrolytes are in your body before you break the fast. for tomorrow i’m planning on breaking with either a high carb & high protein meal or a high fat and high protein meal. of course at a smaller portion. thoughts?
If you are taking electrolytes, risks are small. But to be on the safe side, start with a bone broth with some coconut oil and ghee and a lot of salt. Give it 24ish hours drinking this, and then move to a high fat, low protein, zero carb meal.
Never, never break with a high carb meal on long fasts.
