I’ve been doing research on supplements to add to my current stack. I’d like to add something that helps in reducing stroke risk or heart issues considering I have both in my family. I was looking at both NAC and Folic acid but didn’t known which one would be best for the issues described above. Does anyone have any input?
The vitamins you get from a well-balanced diet with plenty of vegetables and fruits, plus not smoking and at least 150 min of aerobic excersice per week.
There isn’t really one or multiple vitamins alone that prevent stroke or heart disease, there multiple studies that show there may be correlation or no correlation, but correlation =/= causation.
With that aside, there are some diets that are associated with lower cardiovascular risk like the mediterranean diet, which includes plenty of vegetables, fish, “healthy” oils (olive oil, nuts).
Also coffee and tea consumption is associated with better neurocognitve health (less risk of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases).
Blood thinning and triglycerides:fish oil Coq10K2/d3Niacin for lipids if you need it Pantethine-little known and great for lipids Agmatine, Tumeric, cialis: all help with endothelial function which most modern research shows to be the precursor to CAD
It isn’t the easy, popular route… but the best thing you can do for your heart is take a preventative approach to how you manage your diet, exercise, stress, and lifestyle.
Outside of rare genetic predispositions, the plaque and atherosclerosis doesn’t just accumulate on its own leading to disease. You put it there with your choices.
