Looking for any advice for someone looking to start intermittent fasting for weight loss. Thank you in advance!
I would have started “clean” fasting. No artificial sweeteners or anything during the fasting period. I was using them and it made it sooo much harder to fast. I was having trouble going 16-18 hours. Since I cut them out I can easily go 20-24 hours without even thinking about it. Good luck!
Followed the electrolytes advice at r/fasting sidebar CONSISTENTLY instead of feeling tired, getting headaches, etc. Realized hunger comes in waves and passes, it does not build, as Dr. Fung says and to go for a walk or otherwise distract myself instead of ruminating @ it.
Having meal preps ready for the time of breaking the fast. I was coming from work hungry and I ended up eating looots of things who weren’t the best options for me(like, while I was cooking I would eat cookies and things like that). Having meals already prepped also helps you to chose carefully what kind of nutrients you want to add.
Thinking if the food in front of me is really worth to be eaten or having my dream body in a few months is worth it, food will always be there but your body will progressively weigh more if you don’t start now
