I hear people saying to have some electrolytes while they’re fasting but I’m sure they’re not talking about having a Powerade or something like that. Specifically I want something that I can drink before/during long runs outside.
I have a 70oz-ish jug that I put a tsp of Morton’s lite salt in and fill up. Large enough to not be too salty tasting, and able to chug as I see fit, instead of being so saturated that it’s best to sip throughout the day. Supplement magnesium as I can manage.
