I heard that Asian foods are for the fibers, vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, lack of meats and dairies. But I also know a lot of Asian food has those things in there like curry’s, a lot of Asian and Japanese foods, I know Thai foods are centered more around vegetables and plants. I don’t know which cuisine is the healthiest tho, if it even is an Asian cuisine. So does anyone know lol? This should be a good conversation
I think all cuisines have their fair share of healthy and unhealthy foods!
However food cultures sre a whole different thing. For example, I love Japanese food culture. The act of tea ceremonies, and using fermented broths is really good from a nutrition stand point.
They also traditionally eat less deep fried foods, and cook with fresh veggies and meats. However as modernisation changes food cultures, I guess that’s changing everywhere in the world.
I think South American cultures could be an interesting pool to look towards. They have many Indian, Middle Eastern, East Asian, and West European roots.
Furthermore, there are many interesting native fruits and vegetables to try out.
I’ve found that the Japanese, Lebanese and Persian cuisines are quite healthy (just a few examples). Generally, their dishes have more veggies and healthier preparations of meat, for example: hummus with pita, miso soup and edamame, chicken/beef shawarmas with grilled veggies, brown rice sushi rolls, or kebabs with yogurt and salad. But, every cuisine has at least something healthy in it, and you have almost 200 countries (not including regions/territories!) to explore in terms of food!
There’s no cuisine that is inherently healthier than the other. What you should look for is creating a good diet out of what’s available. A lot of fruit and veg, little or no meats, optimal omega 3 and fibers and drink plenty of water. All of those prepared in healthy ways. Combine that with some exercise and family/friend bonding and you should live long and happily.
