There seems to be mixed suggestions on how much oat bran a person should be eating to lower the bad cholesterol. Some say 1/2 cup. Others say that you only need a few teaspoons, since your body can’t absorb all the goodness of oat bran even if you eat more than that.
Thoughts?
I think you’re approaching this from the wrong angle. Eating a bit more of this will not reduce your cholesterol just as it will not reduce your weight. There are no “good” or “bad” foods; only good or bad diets.
What does reduce cholesterol is losing weight and many people find long-term success with a very low carb diet like keto.
