What's your hardest day of fasting? Mine's Day 1

I normally do OMAD so I’m fairly used to large dinners after work. When I do an extended fast, not having dinner that first day is the most difficult hurdle for me to jump. I definitely need to find ways to keep me busy since it’s mostly eating out of routine.

Something I’ve noticed is that I can’t just sit down and watch TV. I think that’s mostly in part because I tend to eat my dinner in the living room more often than I do at the dinner table. Pretty sure my body associates TV time with food time. Probably should work on that…

After Day 1 it’s generally smooth sailing though. Day 3 tends to be very burpy with random instances of slight discomfort in my stomach but other than that I’m not really hungry at all. I think I owe some credit to the daily OMAD for this one.

I’ve never gone more than 3 days simply because of going out with friends or family and I’d like to have something light the day before getting drinks or something greasy/restaurant food. One of these days I’ll try shooting for a week though and get some non food/drinking activities in my schedule.

Day 2 for me is the hardest. I’m falling into a 40:8 schedule because end of day 2 is so dang hard but I feel like I could do day 1 anytime.

I’m 24 hours in right now and I just went to Trader Joe’s, no issue buying food I won’t eat until tomorrow (was worried about crazy weather we might have in nyc this weekend)

I do OMAD and also see that the first night is the hardest. Up until about 6pm on the first day it’s easy because I’m used to eating only at that time. Once I get past the first night it’s usually smooth sailing. I’ll sometimes get hungry again on the second night. After the second night I rarely break a fast due to hunger.

Day 4, I don’t know why but it is always the hardest to cross. I’m really bad at electrolytes, that might be why I guess. In general I react really poorly to snake juice, so I have been working to find an alternative

Day 3 is by far the worst for me. That’s roughly when I run out of glycogen and enter a very abrupt keto flue. It’s bad enough that I can’t do prolonged fasting when I have to be working, so it’s mostly relegated to long weekends and holidays

Day 4, 5,6 are the worst after that and it gets progressively better from that point.
