When doing a fasting is it okay to drink water during the fast?

I am using the OMAD method, I’ve been searching on the internet if it is okay to drink during fasting but I can’t see results so I’ll just ask here.

Answer

Not only is it okay to drink water during a fast — you absolutely need to drink water during a fast. Dehydration will mess you up.

Water does not contain any calories and it does not produce any kind of insulin response. Therefore, it does not break a fast.

Answer

❗❗❗❗❗❗

You absolutely NEED to drink plenty of water ❗

It is absolutely essential to stay hydrated and even more so if it’s omad. Please drink lots of water, even any zero calorie drinks like cucumber water or tea with no milk/sugar is fine.

Answer

People here are overexaggerating a bit. If you are healthy, young, and not losing significant sweat everyday, you don’t need to drink water as long as you drink enough when you break fast.

That said, there’s no reason that you shouldn’t. Calorieless, no effect on insulin, and it’ll help hold over hunger and fatigue.
