When is the best/least bad time during me feeding window to consume sugar?

I really like sugar. I’m gonna eat candy. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s my thing.

That said, is there a less bad time in my feeding window (I’m currently 100% on 18:6) that I should try to consume (or not consume) refined sugars to minimize negative metabolic impact? Front end? Back end? Midpoint?

Answer

Not when you are breaking your fast (too much insulin sensitivity) and not right before starting your new fast (will make you hungry faster).

Try to drink lemon water 30-60 minutes before as it can slow down e reduce your insulin spike. Another strategy is consuming carbs after a protein meal (same reason) or with fibers.
