which is healthier - white rice or white rice noodles?

in comparing white basmati rice to rice noodles, what’s the nutritional benefit of one compared to the other? it seems like they’re similar calories, carbs, fiber, etc.

both are processed.

why aren’t white rice noodles consumed daily in bodybuilding where rice right is def a staple? are they ok to sub in a leaning out/cutting diet assuming the portion/calorie amounts are the same?

Answer

I would assume rice in it’s original form would be healthier because the rice noodles are essentially made from ground/ further processed or broken down rice grains, which in turn may digest faster, meaning enhanced bioavailability which equals a slightly more rapid spike in blood sugar compared to intact rice grains.

Obviously brown or wild rice are going to be healthier options than either white rice or white rice noodles.
