Which is the easiest meal to cut?

I’m considering dropping from 3 meals a day to 2 meals a day. I tried searching, but couldn’t find anything.

Which is the easiest to remove from your day? Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner?

I want to start on the path to IF and I haven’t yet found something that works for me.

Thanks in advance.

Answer

Even as witnessed by this thread, it’s breakfast. Statistically most folks are not very hungry in the morning relative to their hunger for lunch or dinner, making it a meal that most often gets skipped naturally.

There’s also the social cost. Lunch and dinner are meals often eaten with co-workers, family, or as another social gathering. Whereas breakfast gets less importance as a sit-down shared experience. Again making it easier to skip.

At the end of the day it’s ultimately going to depend on your own schedule and body though. Find what works best for you.

Answer

Breakfast; Easiest to cut and most beneficial. Extended fasting is easier. My window is 6-7pm to eat, OMAD. Makes it easier to fall asleep for me and becomes a focused routine much easier because of that.

Answer

For me, dinner. I feel best if I eat a good protein-heavy breakfast around 9am, and then late lunch around 3 or 4pm. I do work in an office that allows me flexible break times; I know not everyone can do that.
