Which one is better Magnesium Oxide / Magnesium Gluconate vs Magnesium L-Aspartate Hydrochloride ?

Occasionally taking in some extra Magnesium supplement to help me out when Magnesium level is too low, also it appears that helps out wife during menstrual period. Product is from a big body builder company, fair pricing. What I know that it contains Magnesium Oxide / Magnesium Gluconate 250 mg. Now experimenting a little bit with a prescribed product which is way cheaper this way and I have mixed feelings about it. It contains Mono Magnesium L-Aspartate Hydrochloride Trihydrate 614.8mg / 60.77mg Mg ++

How can I compare the two, what is the main difference between them? For outcome I would rather stick to the first, but curious to find out more as the second might just needs longer time to do the magic.

Answer

All of those are uncommon forms apart from oxide - but oxide is known to be the worst.

Don’t you have access to glycinate, chloride, malate or citrate? All those are considered good forms and fairly cheap.

Out of those, I’d go with Gluconate
