Dr Filinov recommends this protocol for weight loss and general health.
Do a 24 hour dry fast twice per week with a day or two break in between. Fast 8am to 8am the next day. On your fasting day, try to walk 10k / 6miles as your low impact exercise.
Take care on your refeed, ie. when you break the fast. I recommend a high fat, low carb diet in between fasts. You should find what works for you.
