Women who do extended fasting

Have you noticed any downsides when with your extended/ rolling fasts? Especially those who have lost all their weight by practicing extended or rolling fasts. Also, if you did have some hurdles, how did you oovercome them? Men can offer their insight too. I just mention women as there might be some gender related issues in particular that stand out.

I’ve had issues with my period doing rolling 36’s. I’m usually pretty regular but I was a week late this cycle which has never happened before and the only thing that I think could have caused that was being new to fasting quite aggressively. I’ve heard that fasting the week before your period is due is a no go as it interferes with the hormones so that could be why. Bit annoying but not enough for me to stop ADF.

That’s the only issue that I’ve had with fasting. Weight loss has been incredible so not complaining about that!!

Answer

I do OMAD which would be rolling 24s and don’t have any issues. Occasionally I’ll roll a 48 into that and then back to Omad (especially if I have a busy evening it works to extend the fast). I only notice that if I start to lag, cold, tired I def need electrolyte tablets. Occasionally at 36 hours I’ll get some anxiety like pms. But my periods have been regular and slightly shorter. And my actual PMS is better.
