I plan on working out while doing a 24 hour fast. Will this kill any muscle gain I could get? My main goal is to lose weight while also gaining muscle, as I’ve been training for about 6 months now. I’m currently 17% bf trying to get to 10-12% bf. Should I just stick to intermediate fasting?
It’s recommended you have adequate protein to minimize muscle loss. I’ve seen many who maintained and actually gained muscle fasting. Just gotta give your body what it needs. I’ll be loading up on protein as I find it helps with energy for my workouts/moderate weight training
I’ve gained muscle on OMAD. Like you I started this about 6 months in. The newb gains last quite a while so you should be fine. Really it is about what you do in the gym. As another said, just make sure you eat enough protein during your eating window. Personally I time my meal around the workout too - soon after. I prefer working out fasted.
