Worried how to stop weight loss

Hi,

I started fasting 3 1/2 weeks ago doing a mixture of OMAD, 2, and 3 day fasts. As I reach my “goal” weight of 165 (I’m still 10 lbs away but 25 lbs down so far), I am worried that I will continue to drop weight. I have been eating fairly significant meals the last two days and still lost 1.5 lbs. Has anyone ever had this issue or do I just need to eat more?

Thanks!

A lot of this is water weight and will come back when you stop fasting. Also, weight loss is not immediate - it is not like you have a deficit today and tomorrow the fat disappears. So losing today is more of a delayed response to what you did in the week prior rather than in the last couple days.

If you eat enough to cover your BMR and active calories, you will stop losing fat, so just try adding some high caloric but nutritious foods (avocado, coconut oil, nuts, etc)

I’ve gone from your old weight of 195 to 165lb multiple times and I always aim for 158lb on the scale for the end of either my keto diet or a 4 day fast. I usually lose the weight by doing OMAD with keto macronutrient profile foods 70% fats 25% protein 5%or less carbs. Expect a minimum of 4lb of water weight and a maximum of 8lbs water weight for that body range and weight loss. If this is your first time I would get to your goal weight of 165lb then do a slightly longer fast maybe 3-4days then by the time you’ve eaten and water comes back on you should be hold right around your goal weight zone.
