Worse sleep quality

Long time lurker, first post. I’ve been doing the 16:8 regimen since Jan 26th. I can deal with the hunger pains but it’s the sleep quality that I’m wondering f if iF is for me. I’m quite lean, so I’m doing it for health reason (hate hate hate going to the doctor), specifically my gastrointestinal function. I can say that I don’t get as much diarrhea since I started IF, but my sleep quality and my resting heart rate during sleep is crappy ever since. Prior to IF, I take .25 mg of Seroquel for sleep. Now I have to take up to 150 mg of seroquel to sleep. What gives?

Edited to add: I have not change my sleeping time, nor my eating habit. My last meal is pretty balanced between carbs/fat/protein. If anything it might be low carbs/ high protein. Exercise wise, I go to orange theory fitness at least 5x/week at 4:30 pm. I stop eating at 7pm and go to bed by 10pm.

I’m about five weeks in. I experienced sleep issues for a while, but the last few nights I have slept better than in years. I had become quite a restless sleeper in the last few years, waking up frequently. Now that I feel I settled in a good-for-me routine of 16:8, my sleep has become very restful and deep.

I hope the issues are temporary for you, too.

Been doing it for for 10 days… I’ve been experiencing sleep issues as well… but i assumed it was because i started to go to bed much earlier … but that wouldn’t explain my sleep feeling like its getting a little more broken/worse.

Will continue to monitor i guess. So far it isn’t to the point where its been detirmental - night starts with 3 solid hours before tossing and turning begins… but tossing and turning part is becoming a little more annoying..
