I asked this question in other subreddits and was told to come here. I plan on dry fasting for 23 hours, then eat around 600 calories for the 1 hour duration. The twist is doing this without any liquids for an entire day. I tried it multiple times before and it’s much better than any diet I’ve tried, but safety is alway the number 1 option so here I am asking this subreddit!
Dry fasting is an unnecessary complication.
What are the benefits of avoiding water when fasting? I can’t think of one–not one.
What are the downsides? There is not enough room here to list all the downsides.
Avoiding water is like running your car without motor oil. Nothing good comes from it.
I had a relative who became dehydrated over a weekend. It took him months (literally months) to fully recover.
Don’t be stupid. Drink water. Put some electrolytes in it.
