Answer

This depends on a few different factors. What benefits are you looking for from IF? When are you eating your dessert?

I still eat dessert sometimes but only in my eating window and only if it fits in my calorie goal. I also try to pair anything sugary with a healthy low-carb meal that has lots of protein and some healthy fats to try and keep my insulin response lower.

Answer

Yes you’ll still reap the benefits of fasting. Look up the different things that occur when fasting (when you hit ketosis, autophagy, etc) You’ll likely crave sweets less & less the l longer into your taster journey you get. We often have our taste buds change naturally to where we don’t crave sugar as much as we once did, but yes, fasting is fasting. Beneficial.

Answer

How big is the pot? ☺️ but I think it ultimately comes down to what works for your body and the reason why you’re doing IF. The longer you’re in the IF lifestyle…then the better clarity you’ll receive on how certain eating choices will affect your progress.
