I recently found out I have a yeast intolerance. What foods can/can’t I have? Do noodles and pasta contain yeast?
Almost exclusively the answer is no because the dough does not require leavening to make pasta. It has to be very dense.
I think there are some specialty types that contain yeast, but those aren’t the common dried or fresh pasta seen in the grocery store. The ingredients label will say if it has yeast.
Curious how you found out you have a yeast intolerance. I ask as a healthcare professional who has seen colleagues convince people they have an intolerance to ALL yeast when really it may be a current infection with one specific yeast (eg candida), or it’s an intolerance to something else.
