Just around 48 hours in to a 120 hour fast. Longest I’ve done so far is a 72. I’m really excited to see how it goes because I feel good today, but I think tomorrow will be telling. 72 is the longest I’ve done.

Currently on day 2 of a 14 day fast (water, coffee, tea) - 40 hrs in!

Day 1 was pretty smooth sailing until we had a cold night last night - and my sleep was restless so this morning I felt a little tired. After hydration I feel much better and clear headed, but my body aches a little and my stomach growls occasionally! I walked for an hour yesterday and plan to take the pup out this afternoon again.

Expecting a similar cold night tonight but keeping hydrated and wrapping up tonight before bed/having a bath may help with the restlessness tonight.

Taking potassium and sodium electrolytes as a no salt/salt combo slowly throughout the day from tomorrow - I take magnesium supplements at night anyway to help with dozing off.

I’m feeling OK for now - tomorrow may be different!

42 hours into a water/coffee fast with no set length in mind. Yesterday was a breeze, but today about 3pm I started getting a headache and so I’ve take some magnesium/sodium and trying to hydrate. Still sluggish, mild headache, but not hungry.

Food is starting to sound nice, but I’m going to push on!

Currently in my 26th hour, the goal is 72h. It was actually pretty amazing up until two hours ago, I have insane cravings. It has more to do with my habit of emotional eating during this time (today I got rejected from an important application) so I am reeeeeally trying to keep it up and endure. Hopefully I’ll manage.

I’ve decided one day I would try fasting and that day ended up being last night. I wanted to go for at least 5 days, but forgot I made plans with family whom I haven’t seen in a long time and didn’t want to cancel. So it will be 3 days instead. Which, for my first time fasting, I figured would be better to do. I mostly want to do fasting to improve my mental strength as well as secondarily weight loss. After meeting with my family I will then do a fast for the time I originally wanted to do. Would this be bad? Fasting for 3 days, eating, then fasting for 5? I don’t want to put myself in a bad position or incredibly unhealthy one. From what i’ve read I think it’ll be fine, but was wondering from people’s personal experience.

Started a 48h fast, went to get coffee (black) and Starbucks gave me someone else’s drink. I took a nice big sip and only after swallowing realized it had cream and sugar. I’m actually very upset about this. I feel the whole fast is pointless and broken now. I still have 30+ hours to go

Answer

Going for a 3 day water fast (I have never done more than 48 hours)! Wish me luck :)

• 24 hour mark complete ! Headaches, feeling cold, nothing out of the ordinary. Hunger wasn’t too bad, just drank a lot of tea and one coffee
