I am 24 hours into my 72 hour fast and I just added a pinch of Morton iodized salt into my water and then I realized it has dextrose. Will this break my fast? Goal is to reach autophagy. I’m worried I messed up.

I’m in my second week of rolling 48 hour fasts. I have been _bad_ on the feed windows, sometimes going to town on French pastries, but I’m still losing weight.

I did my DEXA scan on Saturday before fasting and I was at 239.6# (BF% 33.7%), then I ate and had cocktails with a lady friend, and ate the next day, but I kept my feed window under 24 hours. Someone on this sub said as long as his fasting windows are longer than his feeding windows, he’ll probably lose weight.

I did RMR after the DEXA scan as well, and given my height/sex/weight I am burning around 3,000 calories/day by doing nothing except walking for 30 minutes each day.

My next window opens tomorrow at 4pm, and I intend to have a green smoothie followed by a huge salad (with some paleo-friendly chicken or pork). My total feed window will be under 2 hours, then I resume fasting.
