Zoning in on 24 hour dry fast… however

I work as a kitchen porter meaning my hands are always wet (i don’t always use gloves).

What downsides are there for being on a soft dry fast? If i could id do a hard one with no water contact!

My reasoning for doing this is spiritual and also to combat my bad eating habits!

Answer

There aren’t any downsides. As someone who did hard dryfasts for 4 years and soft dryfast 4 years. Washing your hands is a minimal change. You’re still 95% hard dry. As you can see 95% and 100% very little difference. And you will experience it in that way. The skin hydrates itself from the water contact. As long as most of your body is still without contact. You’ll get huge amounts of benefits in terms of destroying addictions and from the heat of the fast. The heat is what you want.

Answer

It’s negligible. The most important thing is you aren’t CONSUMING any liquids. That’s what would more affect a fast.

Brushing your teeth would have more of an effect than washing your hands, but I still wouldn’t worry about it.
