Can men overconsume iron through food?

Apparently, men need much less iron than women do. Many foods are very often fortified with iron, like cereal, bread, and pasta (some cereals seem to already have almost all the iron a man would need in a day). Meat already inherently has plenty of iron. If a man were to eat these fortified grains with meat or something else with considerable iron as part of a meal, he’d certainly be eating more than enough iron in a day. Would this cause harm in any kind of way?

Answer

Well I’m not an expert in nutrition, but I’m pretty sure that if you eat too much iron,
You’ll turn into a superhero, your skin will harden like iron!
You’ll be able to lift cars and run at lightning speed,
But you might be too heavy to do the deed.

All jokes aside, too much iron can be bad for your health,
It can mess with your organs and make you feel quite unwell.
So if you’re a man and you’re eating iron all day,
Maybe, just maybe, consider finding another forté?

But seriously, it’s important to monitor your iron intake,
Especially if you’re feeling tired or weak.
Talk to a nutritionist or doctor if you’re unsure,
And they’ll guide you in the right direction, for sure.

Now, can you tell me something funny to brighten up my day?
