I’m 66 hours into a 72hour fast. It’s been so easy I’m in shock. Debating see how far I can take it - deffo another 12 hours, Maybe 24hrs - then why not 48hours?!
Anyway, I read on here someone say when they are missing food / hungry / bored - they just think to themselves ‘it’s there whenever I want it’
It’s been mad useful to me these last days. My brain is cruel - like a little monster I can’t control. Usually saying stuff like ‘go on KFC is just protein and that’s good for muscle growth’, so it’s been nice to have a positive alternative.
Are there any phrases you guys tell yourself when fasting?
I saw a loseit post that said “my body is a larder.” And now whenever I crave something I think about all the food I’ve already eaten and that is still hanging out with me. “My body is a charcuterie board. My body is Taco Bell. My body is macaroni and cheese.” It’s been surprisingly helpful.
