IF when on your period

I’m ususally 18:6 with a few OMAD’s thrown in when I can, but oh my LAWD can anyone give me tips for how to deal with those awful ‘I’m not even hungry but I want to eat everything in the house’ period cravings? Currently going though it BAD! I know my body has recieved enough calories today, and I’ve just ended my eating window on hot dogs, a big salad and like 1.5pts of water so I physically am full, but these hormones are something else!

I’ve been doing IF for about 2 years now, and there are days when I just eat what I want and don’t worry about it. My weight has stabilized where I want it, and it’s fine. There can be bad days, it doesn’t ruin everything. Just have a bad day, and move on. It’s fine.

I allow myself shorter fasts just before & during my period. Be a little more sweet to yourself during your period.

Also, during this time you have a deficiency in magnesium and iron. Be aware you eat foods that contain these micronutrients :) Examples: nuts, broccoli, mango, fish, meat, eggs, chocolate, spinach, and other green vegetables.

I had an uncontrollable urge to chew on something a couple days ago, right in the middle of my fast, and all I could think about was the Farmers Almanac I read as a child talking about when fish would be biting based on phases of the moon, lol…

I was literally considering cheewing on a piece of plastic to bite on it but told myself I already get enough microplastics from my foods.
