Any tips for keeping up a fast during a cold spell?

I’m currently living in a place that stays warm most of the year, save for a few weeks of rather extreme cold weather. We are currently going through a cold spell and I’m finding it hard to stick to a fast as my body seems to crave calories all the time. I’ve lived in cold places before and never had that issue, likely because seasonal weather transitions didn’t affect me as much as going from 25°C to 0°C in a matter of days.

Answer

I would favour hot soups, stews, and salads but with cooked vegetables and beans. Plenty of protein, healthy fats, and reasonable carbs as always. Hot beverages (coffee, tea) as often as you like during your eating and fasting window. Bone broth?
