I hate periods!!

I’ve been losing weight for a little over 1 year and I’m 3 lbs away from my 1st goal of not being obese. I’m on Simpesse birth control so I get my periods quarterly and next week is the week. Yesterday I counted every calorie and I did a really long cardio session. Stepped on the scale this morning…gained 2.5 lbs. WTF?!?! I know it’s just water weight but I’ve been close to this goal for weeks now and it just feels like I’ll never get there. Thanks for listening!

I have constant setbacks (having one right now… IF 16:8 to 20:4 or 23:1 depending on what I can manage that day, but weight loss is slow, and today I’m up a few pounds again because of hormones). It can be really super hard to see those numbers on the scale again. I’m sorry it’s happened to you, too!
Give yourself a break. It happens. You’re doing great! We all get bloated. Right now I’m up a full pant size but it’ll only be for a few days. I know you’ll leave those pounds behind next week :)
If it helps, maybe look at supportive material? I saw a youtube video with a fitness trainer or model (sorry brain fuzzy lol) showing what her own bloating can look like and that even someone in super great condition also goes through it. Made me feel way less bad, for some reason. I know it can depend on hormones and stuff, and some things can make it worse or better slightly, but I think that it’s unavoidable overall.
