Weight training and fasting

Wondering if many people on this sub are following a body building or similar weight training routine. I lift weights 5 days per week, and have trained this way for years. I typically follow a 16/8 protocol and do a fairly intensive weight training session after I break my fast. Would love to start incorporating longer fasts into my weeks. Wondering how compatible my lifestyle is to longer fasts.

For any other regular weight trainers on this sub, how do you fast around your gym routine?

I lift 4x a week, MWFSa, and cardio 3x. I generally fast all day Tuesday and Thursday, lift fasted Wednesday and Thursday and break the fast around 2pm. It works for me. I’m 175lbs, 1 RMax: back squat 360, dl: 403

Depends how long your fasts intend to be, I guess. My understanding (NOTE: I could be wrong, so don’t quote me but I THINK this is correct) is that if you are doing multi-day fasts you are more likely to be focusing on maintaining muscle rather than building muscle (but you’d be losing fat too), but on the shorter fasts like OMAD, 1-day, maybe 2-day fasts, then you should be completely fine still building muscle and continuing your routine as it is.
