Zero app pausing timer after 63hrs

Does anyone know how to prevent the Zero app from pausing the timer? My previous two fasts were originally going to be 36 hours, but I decided to keep going. But both times at 63 hours, the app paused the timer and had a popup that said something like “You’ve hit your goal. Do you want to end the fast?” with an option to end the fast and and option to keep going.

The first time, I hit “keep going” and the timer kept counting up from 63 hours, but at that point it had been like 66 hours, so the timer wasn’t correct for the rest of that fast. The second time, I hit “keep going” but the timer didn’t even start counting, it just stayed stuck at 63 hours.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know what I can do to prevent it? I know there are other apps available, but I really like the monthly calendar view that Zero has.

Answer

That’s weird. I get notifications from Zero when I reach the end of a scheduled fast that say the same thing, but it doesn’t pause the timer in the app for me. It always keeps going until I actually go in and stop it when I break my fast. Maybe it’s the version of the app you have, or your operating system or your settings? I’m on an Android phone.
