92/167h check-in - I'm so fed up (not literally)

So just a random check-in during my first 7 day fast. Im on day 4 of 7 in total, so I’m happy to have already passed halftime.

However, I feel so fed up (upset) with fasting, it’s incredible. I want to and definitely will pull through with this, but damn I miss eating so much! Strangely it’s not hunger per se, I actually didn’t feel hungry at all since yesterday morning, but the mental craving for some nice savory food… o.O

I love eating and cooking and I’m currently experiencing how much those things contribute to my daily quality of life, so much that I’m quite amazed by it. Never mindfully recognized what a big part of my life food actually is. And I’m curious to observe myself after breaking the fast and if anything changes.

Yes, on my single 7-day fast I wasn’t actually hungry very often, but felt disorganized and discombobulated by the absence of the rituals of preparing food, eating food, and cleaning up. It was liberating in a way, but I had never noticed how food kind of organizes the day.

I’ve never managed to yet get past 36 hours as I miss masticating so much. The physical activity of eating, chewing etc. is why I’m struggling trying to get the weight back under control. I’m aiming for a 48 hour fast starting after dinner tonight so will be there spiritually for your last couple of days.
