any women with PCOS that have tried IF?

was it successful for you? did you incorporate a workout routine? what fasting schedule worked best for you? I hear mixed reviews for people with PCOS and was recently diagnosed with insulin resistance—so I felt this could really help. Thinking 18:6 would yield the healthiest results as 16:8 didn’t seem to do much for me.

I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 18 and I’m in my 30s now. I have tried every diet and trend. IF and walking is the only way I’ve been able to lose weight. 20:4 and OMAD have worked best for me.

Hey 👋! Diagnosed at 16. Have lost 30 pounds since late Jan-early Feb. I’ve done 16:8,18:6,20:4 and OMAD. It really depends on what you can tolerate. But since going on IF, my periods have become regular and my doctor wants me to continue! Do it safely and you’ll be good!

I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS 7 years. I recently went from pre-diabetic insulin resistance to a type 2 diabetes diagnosis. I’ve been doing IF a little over a month. I started out 18:6 with flexible 14:10ish on weekends, recently mostly OMAD during the week and still flexible 14:10ish on weekends. I joined a gym but my shoes fell apart the first day so I haven’t been back until I get new shoes, plan to just treadmill about 20 minutes every other day. I eat whatever I want in my window with a general goal to not eat to discomfort (I have binge eating disorder so it’s easier than than done.) 1 month in I was down 12 lbs.
