Not sure if this was asked already in the sub, but how do you calculate your macros? How do I find out what macros I need? Is there an easy way to find this? Whenever I look it up I usually have to subscribe to find out or purchase some program to really find out what I need.
There are so many different variables, such as how much you work out, if you are on a restrictive diet, if you are insulin resistant etc.
The starting point is a balanced diet, with 50% calories from carbs, 25% from protein and 25% from fat. Then you play with it depending on your specific work out plan and type of diet. Then you take notes, observe and adjust.
I think fitness subs would be more relevant or more helpful.
What’s your goal?Cut -100 to 300 cals from maintenance Bulk +100 to 400/500I’m sure others will have various opinions on these numbers, happy to be proven wrong
I always start macros with Protein I’ve read generally, 1.6-2.3G of protein/kg of body weight Then go to carbs and fats1g protein = 4 cals1g carbs = 6 cals1g fat = 9 cals
This is what I go by, but I’m wrong with many things 😁
