I’m cutting back on sweets so no more ice cream or cookies in the house. However, I’d like to find a really nice dark chocolate to enjoy at the end of the day. Recommendations?
Trader Joe’s has some awesome dark chocolate. All of it is pretty great, but the montezuma stuff is out of this world if you like real bitter dark chocolate. Comes in a black box with a silver m. It’s fantastic with some Fage 0% Greek yogurt. I dove deep into dark chocolate and it was top of the heap.
Hu Kitchen and Evolved chocolate are delicious vegan dark chocolate brands with healthy ingredients and no refined sugar. Same goes for Honey Mama’s, except it uses honey so it isn’t vegan and the texture is like fudge that melts in your mouth
Endangered Species 88% is so smooth IMO. The Forest Mint flavor at 70% is beyond stellar for the relatively low sugar content.
Support a properly sourced and manufactured brand, Lindt is not one of them!
I often use Lindt 85%. If you’re like me a person who used to dislike dark chocolate and only eat sweet or semi sweet chocolate you might find it difficult to eat at first so I recommend as a first step to include a square of the chocolat to your oatmeal or your overnight oats until you get used to the taste.
