Difficult to drink anything during fast

When I fast I’m not thirsty at all. Everyone here says that one should drink plenty of water with electrolytes during their fasts. I’m just not thirsty at all so I have to force myself to drink anything. Even drinking a glass of water is hard. I really can’t force myself to drink more than 0,5-1L of water (or any fast friendly liquids) a day because drinking more will make me want to puke.

When I’m not fasting I do keto and even then I only drink 0,5-1L of water (or any other keto friendly liquids) a day.

But when I eat carbohydrates I become very thirsty and I’ll drink a lot more.

Should I really force myself to drink more or just listen to my body?

I just completed a 60h fast and drank 0,66L the fist day and 0,33L the second. I felt good the whole time.

I wanna know too, mostly because anything beyond 4-5 days, I have the same issue… and when I try to drink, of course I drink with electrolytes in, but even when diluted properly and sipped/drank gradually, it still causes diarrhea (gross I know, but important to know, if it happens to anyone else), which just exacerbates to issue since I’m losing more liquid than I’m intaking.

I can go 3-4 days without drinking issues, so for now I’m sticking to 3 day fasts with a day of eating in between. It might be worth it to stick to shorter fasts and roll them, if 2 days 1/2 or 3 days work for your goals.

Answer

Are you consuming electrolytes?

Your body does sweat less but you should aim for 2l at least, you may not feel dehydrated but 1/3 of a liter a day is dangerously low

If your pee isn’t clear most of the time then that’s a major sign you aren’t getting enough fludis
