Compared to your degree of training in dry fasting, when you think about fasting what is the minimum length that comes to mind?
I would like to know your levels also based on the problems you want to solve / face and your fasting training.
Most of the studies on dry fasting have been done on Muslims fasting during Ramadan and there definitely seems to be a lot of benefits.
Given this I think about 12 hours fasting is when benefits start to kick in, although you have to sustain the fasting regularly over a period of time to get these benefits.
I’m already a low-carber, I have done several 3 day dry fasts.
Pros: clear skin, haven’t had flu in 4 years and counting, stopped gum bleeding, libido through the roof (I’m 43), insane amount of energy to a point I have started working out, mental clarity and stamina (my passion for reading is restored as I can now read without feeling tired)
Cons: dry fasts are terribly boring, you got to keep your mind occupied with something all the time.
I did 62 hrs sipping only on pineapple juice and water when I felt too thirsty.
My goal was to reduce acne scars, dry skin and wrinkles as well as social anxiety and mood disorders. I have only noticed a slight improvement with appearance but the latter has improved a ton.
I don’t think I went long enough to see drastic visible improvements in my appearance.
Will def go on it again tho!
