How to stop feeling faint/dizzy during fast?

Basically as the title states. I start feeling dizzy and weak during my fast and end up having to eat something before my window is up. How do I overcome this? Is it normal? I am starting to feel sad I can’t make it the full 16 hours.

I’d try a little salt, just in case it’s a wild swing in electrolytes. I wouldn’t expect that you would need electrolytes on a 16:8 schedule, but it might help. I’d also consider your last meal - if it’s high in carbs you may be having a a blood sugar crash. Also, if you’re new to 16:8 I’d consider starting with a smaller fasting window and working up to 16.

Best of luck finding a more comfortable way to fast!

This happened to me during the first week. I found that it went away as my body adjusted. It happened a time or two after that on some longer fasts but for 16 hour fasts I found for me that it just went away.
