I’m only 25, but most of my life nutrition wasn’t a concern because we were kinda poor and food was food, even if it was carb heavy and loaded with sugar. Now that I buy my own food, cook my own meals, and practice IF, I just feel on top of the world. I didn’t know I could feel this good!
I fast flexibly, but every day between 14-18 hours. Then I eat a delicious and balanced meal with plenty of veggies, protein, and healthy carbs and EVERY DAY that breakfast feels/tastes like the best food ever. I guess since the reward center of my brain isn’t so overloaded with dopamine hits from snacks and junk food, it makes the healthy food that much more satisfying and that natural dopamine hit more intense.
I’ve only been doing this a few weeks, but I am so excited to continue doing this for the rest of my life. My relationship with food and my body are so much better. Thanks r/intermittentfasting!!
Congratulations on your lifestyle change. Sounds like you’re off to a great start and it’s already paying off.
I’ve only started a week ago and can’t believe how much better I feel already. I’m in a better mood, have more energy, am not constantly thinking about what I’m going to eat next. It’s honestly amazing. I wish I had found this sooner.
