This morning my son (8 years old) came into my office. Like every other morning he tried to climb into my lap. My office chair has a weight limit of 300 pounds.
This morning was the first morning I didn’t have to tell him to get off my lap so we don’t break the chair. I just held him for a minute. I sat in the chair with a 300 pound weight limit with my son and we weren’t over the limit!!! Then went and helped him get breakfast.
I’ve been smiling all day. It’s not that we didn’t break the chair. It’s that weight loss has literally gotten me a few extra moments snuggling with my kiddo before he gets to old to like me.
Fantastic!
My NSV was similar…I am a massage therapist, and my portable (and light weight, so less load bearing capacity) table lists static and working weight limits. I was always right at the weight where if my client was larger (muscular, soft, dense bones, whatever), I got too close for comfort to climb on the table.
Now, after IF becoming a permanent pattern, I don’t often need to worry.
Not to take away from your accomplishment here, but chair manufacturers are usually pretty conservative with their weight limits. I’ve been as high as 320 and I’ve been sitting on a chair with a 275lb weight limit every workday for months and months. You probably would have been fine. :)
